Knife Crime

This week West Mercia Police will once again be joining forces from across the country for Op Sceptre, a week of action to tackle knife crime.

Teams from across the force will focus on prevention, education and engagement to target those either involved in knife crime or those on the periphery of being so.

Each Sceptre week has a different operational focus and this week it will be retailers who sell knives, and make sure they know how to report crime or concerns.  

There will be routine patrols to visit retailers to check compliance with knife-sale legislation, and make sure they know how to report crime or concerns.
